A Marinette County man is pleading no contest to the shooting death of his wife.
Fifty-six-year-old Gary Rogge of the Pembine area reached a plea deal with prosecutors. Shelley Erickson-Rogge was killed in January.
He claimed he accidentally shot his wife, after they had been drinking all day. Prosecutors say they were arguing at a bar, and Rogge was kissing another woman after his wife left.
They say after the shooting, Rogge waited two hours to call 911.
He was convicted of first-degree reckless homicide. Prosecutors initially charged him with first-degree intentional homicide.
