There could be a deal soon on the proposed U.S. Venture headquarters in downtown Appleton.
Nearly two years after the company first unveiled its plans, Mayor Tim Hanna is optimistic that the city council could take up the project in about a month.
He believes city officials have had a series of very productive meetings with U.S. Venture. He hopes they can bring an agreement to the council’s meeting on September 4th.
The company is looking to build on the former site of Fox Banquets and Trinity Lutheran Church.
The city agreed to build an underground parking ramp. That project has to be done first, because it will be the foundation for the U.S. Venture building.
