UW Oshkosh will start paying the city a portion of proceeds from tourist stays.
The university opens its residence halls to visitors over the summer during popular events.
City manager Mark Rohloff says the issue has been that UWO doesn’t collect room taxes.
The Oshkosh common council will vote tonight on an agreement with the school to make an annual payment in lieu of room taxes based on the number of stays per year.
