U.S. Sen. Ron Johnson is sticking to his stance that he wouldn’t recuse himself from voting, if there’s an impeachment trial in the Senate.
The Oshkosh Republican could be a witness in a trial because of his dealings with Ukraine leaders and the White House. He says the people in the state deserve his representation, his voice, and his vote in the process.
Johnson is also rejecting a recommendation that former Republican Congressman Reid Ribble, that Congressmen and Senators vote on impeachment based on feedback from voters. He says he’ll vote based on the evidence presented.
Johnson was a guest on Fresh Take with Josh Dukelow on WHBY this morning.
