A donation to St. Vincent de Paul in Oshkosh is now in the hands of gracious family members.
Sorters found an Army jacket in a bag, along with some pictures and military paperwork. Workers set it aside, and posted about it on Facebook.
That’s how Erin Klapa realized it belonged to her uncle, Steve. He died from ALS in 2011, and she never knew the uniform existed. She says it feels like he’s still here, and they’re happy that it came back to them.
Klapa found out that the uniform was accidentally left behind at a house where her aunt and uncle lived before he got sick.
