Some businesses in northeast Wisconsin are still hiring workers right now.
The H.S. Group found that 42 percent continue to go through the process of filling positions, and much of it is being done virtually. Another 34 percent are holding off on hiring, and 19 percent are furloughing workers.
Group President Joey Leonard says manufacturers are looking for workers, and some businesses are filling middle-management and executive positions.
When companies are interviewing, most are doing it by phone or through video conferences. Thirty-five percent are doing in-person meetings with social distancing.
