The head of Prevea Health hopes people without symptoms of COVID-19 will take a free test in Brown County.
They’re available, starting today, at the community testing sites at the Resch Center, and Casa ALBA Melanie in downtown Green Bay.
Dr. Ashok Rai tells Action 2 News people without symptoms don’t need to quarantine while they’re waiting for their test results. He says people shouldn’t be scared or shocked, when a person in brown protective gear approaches them at the drive-up sites.
He says the testing is a little uncomfortable, but not painful. A Q-tip is used in the nose, but he says they don’t go too far into the nostrils like another type of test.
Rai says the test results should come back in five to seven days. He stresses that negative results mean people didn’t have the virus that day.
