Brown County’s clerk isn’t sure when wait times for passports will get back to normal.
Sandy Juno says there’s a backlog of more than 1.2 million applications across the country. She says she’s been getting calls from people still waiting, after applying in February.
She recommends people apply early, and have patience, if they need a passport. She says the normal wait time is six to eight weeks.
The federal government stopped processing applications in March, and Juno says there are only a limited number of facilities open now.
