Appleton police rescued a man from the Fox River.
Around 2:30 p.m. yesterday, officers were called to a home to help a suicidal man. He left the house before they got there and officers spotted his car and tried to stop him. The man drove to the Oneida Skyline Bridge, stopped his car and immediately jumped.
He was rescued after he went through the dam in the 500 block of South Olde Oneida Street. He was taken to a hospital and is expected to survive.
