Appleton City Council member Sheri Hartzheim and dozens of supporter voice their opposition to mandatory masking prior to the regular meeting of the Appleton Area School District Board of Education
A member of the Appleton Common Council is organizing an on-line protest of the school district’s policies on masking, critical race theory, and public attendance at School Board meetings. Alder Sheri Hartzheim is asking members of a group called “Freedom Project Academy” to meet at 750 Hickory Farm lane starting at 5:00 tonight. The group plans to join the zoom call of the Appleton School Board meeting to voice their concerns. The Board is expected to revisit COVID-19 protocols tonight–and likely extend the district’s masking requirements.
