A Fox Valley woman’s legacy to impact women with breast cancer marks a huge milestone.
Trina Reynolds was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2008 and established “The Trina Fund” through the Women’s Fund of the Fox Valley Region. It started with $1,000 in 2009. A few years after establishing that fund, 49-year-old Trina passed away on October 2, 2011.
But, Trina’s legacy lives on. Her fund has grown to provide more than 260 grants in excess of $100,000.
In honor of the milestone celebration, The Trina Fund will award a $10,000 grant to the Survivorship Series for Young Women program at ThedaCare. It’s a new program that will launch in May 2022.
Trina’s daughter, Hillary Reynolds joined Hayley Tenpas on Focus Fox Valley, along with Women’s Fund executive director Julie Keller, to talk more about Trina’s legacy.
