When I’m looking for something other than Chex Mix, this ranch snack mix hits the spot! The secret is truly in the popcorn oil that coats the different snacks inside. I like to use what I have on hand in my cupboards for this recipe and over the years have added pretzels, puffcorn or Combos. The phrase “measure with your heart” comes to mind, because it’s a tough one to mess up! Enjoy!
Dolly’s Mix: A Party Snack Mix
- 2 bags of Bugles
- 1 bag Wheat Thins
- 1 box cheese crackers (think Cheese-Its)
- 1 bag Goldfish
- 2 cups Mixed Nuts (I never add these)
- 12 oz bottle popcorn oil (I use Orville Redenbacher’s)
- 2 envelopes dry ranch seasoning packets
Preheat oven to 250 F. Mix first ingredients together in LARGE bowl. Mix oil and dry ranch packets in liquid measuring cup. Pour oil mixture over cracker mixture. Separate into roasting pans. Bake at 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes.
Remove and place on paper towel (or let cool in roasting pans). Store in airtight container.
