OSHKOSH, Wis–A Fremont man is accused of killing his parents. Erik Metzig is charged in Winnebago County Court with two counts of First Degree Intentional Homicide.
According to the criminal complaint, Metzig shot his parents, David and Jan, in their Wolf River home early Saturday morning. He was later arrested after acting strangely at the Heart of the Valley YMCA a couple of hours later.
Investigators say Metzig had a journal in which he wrote about killing his parents, making it look like they disappeared while out for a walk. He faces life in prison if convicted.
