MANITOWOC, Wis. — Two people are injured in a car-pickup truck crash in Manitowoc. One of the injured persons, who was the driver of the car, is now jailed on charges related to that crash.
The collision occurred around 10 a.m. Saturday at the intersection of S. 10th Street and Madison Street. Manitowoc police say a car heading west on Madison Street was struck in the intersection by a pickup traveling south on S. 10th Street.
The passenger in the car suffered serious injuries and had to be extracted from the car before being taken to a local hospital. The driver was treated at a local hospital, released and arrested.
Investigators believe alcohol was a factor in that accident.
The pickup truck driver was not injured in the collision.
