OSHKOSH, Wis–Fire damages an Oshkosh restaurant. Crews were called to Sakura Japanese Steakhouse in the 300-block of North Koeller Street at 5:50 this (Monday) morning on the report of an active fire alarm. There was smoke coming from the building.
An interior sprinkler system helped to keep the flames in check. Investigators say the fire was caused by the spontaneous combustion of deep-fried tempura flakes.
