LAWRENCE, Wis–A Hortonville man is dead–a teenager is critically injured–and a Denmark woman is in custody following a crash in the town of Lawrence. An S-U-V driven by the 47-year old woman reportedly crossed the centerline along French Road around 9:15 last (Wednesday) night and struck the car carrying the man and the teen girl head-on.
The 46-year old man was declared dead at the scene. The 14-year old girl was taken to the hospital in critical condition. The woman was rescued from the burning S-U-V and was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
She has been arrested on charges of Homicide by Intoxicated Use of a Vehicle and Causing Injury by Drunk Driving. The names of those involved have not been released.
