I love this very warm week we’ve been enjoying, but….
I hope I’m wrong on this, but having an extremely warm week like this so early in our spring could be an issue. Harken back with me about 8-10 years ago….
Remember that freakishly warm winter we had, which was followed by a very warm start to spring? It was insane to see upper 70 and low 80’s in the region in late March into early April. And then….a few cold fronts brought plummeting temps and some freeze warnings, which sure enough, almost wiped out our cherry and apple crops from here up through Door County.
Here’s hoping that doesn’t happen, since its so huge to the tourism industry, and, they taste soooo good!
