APPLETON, Wis–Local law enforcement breaks up a sizeable fentanyl ring operating in the Fox Valley. According to the state Department of Justice, officers from the Lake Winnebago Area Metropolitan Enforcement Group and the U-S Marshals Service took multiple members of an alleged drug trafficking ring into custody this week.

The group is believed to have moved more than a million fentanyl pills into the region, with a street value of $5-million. Fentanyl is usually mixed in with other drugs, unbeknownst to users. The names of those arrested have not been released.
