Maybe you’ve caught me on WHBY’s AM-Fox Valley this week talking about a head cold I have with a suspicion that I may have allergies as well. The weird thing is, I don’t usually have seasonal allergy issues.
So, I looked it up. Sure enough, we can develop allergies as we age. Great….
But it made we wonder….since these seem to have developed in the last year or two, I’m wondering if Covid-19 has anything to do with it. Could the coronavirus make changes or accelerate changes to your body that make an allergic reaction more likely?
I checked numerous medical journals, and it seems possible, but I’m not sure the science has caught up yet to determine this possibility with any veracity. So, I continue to ride it out, sneezing and coughing, with tissues at the ready. Just remember to remove them from your pockets before they hit the wash!
