GRAND CHUTE, Wis–A second Grand Chute motel is at risk of being shut down. The town and the Outagamie County Health Department are looking at revoking the operating licenses for the Quality Inn on College Avenue.
It would be the second motel owned by Arora Hospitality to meet that fate this year, as the licenses for the Rodeway Inn a few blocks away were revoked earlier this month. Police Chief Greg Peterson says the same issues seen at the Rodeway are taking place at the Quality Inn…………
Town Clerk Kayla Raatz says they also recently learned that Hardeep Arora has a conviction on his record for insurance fraud in Winnebago County……………
The fraud case was filed in 2017 and Arora was sentenced to two years on probation.
In 2019, Arora Hospitality was incorporated as a limited liability corporation–with a Parmeet Arora listed as owner. Parmeet lists the same address as that for Hardeep in court records.
Meanwhile, the state Department of Revenue filed four liens against Arora Hospitality over the failure to pay taxes in 2022 totaling more than $21,000. Nearly $5,500 of that remains unpaid.
Arora Hospitality has also filed lawsuits against the town of Grand Chute and the Outagamie County Health Department to have the licenses of the Rodeway Inn restored.
