Dave Edwards and It’s Just my Take 9-1-23
Can you wear white after Labor Day? Now, wait…who says you can’t, and why is it just white and not khaki?
I hear ridiculous statements like not wearing white after Labor Day and I wonder: who comes up with this junk? I’m guessing the fashion industry, so they can sell their fall arrivals. But come on…don’t try to tell a semi color-blind individual that I have to purge half of my limited wardrobe after Labor Day. Honestly, my summer attire tends to lean towards a golf polo and either khaki, blue or black golf shorts, finished with sandals, boat shoes or my black memory foam Skechers. Not exactly a fashion maven here.
Fall attire usually ends up adding blue jeans and a golf sweater (noticing a trend here?) with slacks that don’t see a ton of use during the summer. I might wear a jacket with slacks if an event leans a bit more “business-casual,” but my suits see the darkness of my closet more than the light of day.
Oh, and none of them are white or khaki….
