APPLETON, Wis–Grand Chute Town Supervisor Ron Wolff is heading to trial on a criminal charge related to a contract his company landed with the town while he was serving on the board. Outagamie County Judge Mitch Metropolous finds there is enough evidence to try Wolff on one felony count of Private Interest in a Public Contract.
Wolff’s company, Lakeshore Cleaners, received $27,000 from the town to do prep work around the pond at the Champions Center in 2021, while Wolff was on the town board. His attorney, Nathan Otis, tried to argue that an email from the general contractor on that project was the one that approved the contract……………….
Wolff has entered a plea of “not guilty” to the charge. No trial date has been set.
