MADISON, Wis–A man is in custody after allegedly coming to the state Capitol twice with a gun. According to Capitol Police, the man showed up outside Governor Tony Evers office around 2:00 Wednesday afternoon shirtless, with a holstered handgun on his hip. He was arrested and posted bond.
The same man reportedly returned to the Capitol around 9:00 Wednesday night brandishing what police are calling an “assault rifle”. He was arrested again and taken to a hospital for treatment.
Governor Evers was not at the Capitol at the time of either incident.
