Dave Edwards and It’s Just my Take, 11-17-23
Do you “spring ahead” and “fall back” when it comes to your clothes?
Full disclosure: I have too many clothes. I try not to even ask for clothes anymore when it’s my birthday or Christmas comes around. I have a wealth of clothes, many of which I don’t wear that often. Sure, I donate to Goodwill and other agencies, but I still have too many clothes!
As far as the clothes shift goes, I have begun the annual “fall back’ of replenishing my closet with sweaters, flannel, heavier pullovers…you get the idea. This will replace the spring and summer wardrobe that heads downstairs to the extra bedroom closet. But magically, it is stuffed with too many dang clothes! Did we fall for the lure of needing something new and fresh and forgot that way too many polos hang anxiously in wait? Probably.
On a related topic, my wife and I despise having rummage sales…we usually just donate or toss if it gets raggy. It’s too much of a time commitment….takes valuable minutes away from a good sock drawer cleanout!
