MENASHA, Wis. — One person is arrested following a domestic disturbance and police standoff in Menasha.
Officers were sent to a home in the 1500 block of Greendale Street shortly after 11 p.m. Wednesday after a woman reported that a 41-year-old man who was out on bond was creating a disturbance.
The suspect was armed with “edged weapons” and barricaded himself in the basement after officers arrived. Everyone else inside was safely evacuated.
About 9 hours later, officers used less-lethal force to take the suspect into custody. No officers were hurt.
Criminal charges are pending.
