Most of us know that you shouldn’t believe just anything you read on the internet. It’s always important to fact check, be a critical thinker, and look at sources.
But on April 1st the tricksters are lurking and the rules don’t apply. April Fools Day brings out a silly side and even the most credible of sources look to make jokes.
As I scroll through social media on April 1, I find myself double-checking most of the posts out there. I do think most of them are easy to debunk, but a few had me reading twice.
So included here are the social media posts that I assume are April Fools Day jokes. I give these pranksters FIVE stars and a “job well done” for their creativity.
Exhibit A: The Jacobs Meat Market post. The Starbucks drive thru and heliport gave it away for me. Nice try, Luke.
I truly enjoyed learning about new tactics from our area law enforcement.
But there is one that I am clinging onto hope for… A Titletown District water slide? A girl can dream…
And I give a round of applause to The Breadsmith in Appleton for this chuckle. Well done!
