ZURICH, SWITZERLAND–Green Bay could play a role in the 2026 World Cup. FIFA, the governing body of international soccer, says that Lambeau Field is under consideration as a “base camp” location for one of the countries competing the tournament.
The team would stay at Kohler Lodge in Green Bay and practice at the stadium, before traveling to other cities for their games. Base camp sites and what teams would be located there will be determined after the World Cup draw in late 2025.
