FOND DU LAC, Wis. — Improperly disposed ashes from a fire pit are the cause of a garage fire Sunday in Fond du Lac.
The fire was reported at 10:19 a.m. in the 100 block of N. Seymour Street.
Fond du Lac Fire/Rescue crews arrived to find smoke coming from the detached garage, which sustained smoke and fire damage. Firefighters quickly brought the fire under control.
Nobody was injured or displaced by the blaze.
