TOWN OF AUBURN, Wis. — Fond du Lac County authorities identify a motorcycle driver killed in a crash Wednesday afternoon.
The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office says 18-year-old Sawyer Dirmeir of Campbellsport died at the scene when the cycle he was ring collided with a pickup truck at the intersection of County Highway V and Auburn-Ashford Drive in the Town of Auburn.
The pickup truck driver, identified as 32-year Daniel Ermer of Campbellsport, was treated at the scene for minor injuries and released.
The sheriff’s office says the speed of the cycle appears to be a contributing factor in that crash, which remains under investigation.

TOWN OF AUBURN, Wis. — A motorcyclist is dead following a crash in Fond du Lac County.
The sheriff’s office says the 18-year-old Campbellsport man struck a pickup truck at the intersection of Highway V and Auburn-Ashford Drive in the town of Auburn around 3:50 p.m. Tuesday.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 32-year-old Campbellsport man driving the truck was treated for minor injuries.
Investigators believe the motorcycle’s speed was a factor in the crash.
