MENASHA, Wis. — What began as a two-vehicle, hit-and-run crash with injuries in Fox Crossing ends in a standoff in Menasha.
It began when Menasha police were called to assist Fox Crossing police with a crash in the 1100 block of Appleton Road Friday afternoon.
Police were then notified that a vehicle had fled the scene and received reports of a vehicle matching that description driving recklessly in the city of Menasha.
Police tracked the vehicle to a residence in the 300 block of Naymet Street, where the driver, a 19-year-old man, had entered and locked himself in. Police officers did not attempt a forced entry after learning there were several other people in that building, including a young child.
The suspect was eventually taken into custody. Criminal charges are pending.
