GREEN BAY, Wis. — Bond is set at $100,000 for a Green Bay man charged with attempted homicide during a drug deal.
Ray Long, 49, is charged with first-degree attempted homicide with use of a dangerous weapon and violent crime in a school zone.
Police were called to a residence on S. Monroe Avenue for a report of a man who’d been stabbed with a screwdriver in the neck and left shoulder.
According to the criminal complaint, the victim said Long came to his house offering to sell marijuana. The victim handed over $20 but demanded it back after realizing Long was not selling marijuana.
The two men fought when a woman handed Long a screwdriver and began stabbing the victim.
Police used security camera footage from a nearby business to identify Long and the woman.
Long is back in Brown County Court on Aug. 8.
