APPLETON, Wis. — Local law enforcement nab a couple of excessive speeders.
On Friday night, a Winnebago County sheriff’s deputy clocked a Mustang convertible doing 143 mph along southbound Interstate 41 at Nee-Vin Road. The fine for that citation would be more than $1,500.
Also last week, an Appleton police officer nabbed a driver doing 72 mph on the College Avenue Bridge. The speed limit along that stretch is 30.
