GREEN BAY, Wis. — The Brown County Drug Task Force and Lake Winnebago Area Metro Enforcement group announces multiple arrests and seizures of large amounts of illegal drugs with ties to Mexican drug cartels.
That follows a 14-month investigation into a large-scale drug trafficking organization responsible for distribution of large amounts of cocaine and marijuana.
In one operation, law enforcement officers made 15 arrests, confiscated two kilograms of cocaine, seven pounds of marijuana, 21 firearms, two vehicles and nearly $29,000 cash.
A second operation Wednesday resulted in 23 arrests, seized just over one kilogram of cocaine, 38 pounds of marijuana, six guns and just over $18,000 cash.
Those arrested came from the village of Bellevue, Green Bay, the town of Lawrence and a the city of Neenah. The investigation into these cases continues.
