TOWN OF CALUMET, Wis. — A 16-year-old girl is arrested in connection with a rollover crash in Fond du Lac County that killed another 16-year-old girl and injured several other teens.
The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office was alerted to the crash around 7:15 p.m. Saturday.
Initial findings indicate an SUV was westbound on County Highway HH when it failed to make a turn. It then struck a culvert and a driveway, went airborne, struck a utility pole and rolled over.
The driver and three other teen passengers were taken to hospitals for treatment. Another teen was not injured in the crash.
A 16-year-old girl sustained fatal injuries and died at the scene.
The 16-year-old girl driving the vehicle was eventually arrested and taken to the Fond du Lac County Jail. She’s being held on charges of homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle.
