(GREEN BAY, WI) — A political group gets involved in the latest incident of duplicate absentee ballots being mailed in Green Bay.
The Center for Election Confidence has sent a letter to the Common Council regarding its investigation into the City Clerk’s office and plans to change ballot processing procedures.
C-E-C Chief Policy Counsel Caleb Hays says the fact that a similar incident happened this spring is concerning.
Green Bay officials say just over five-thousand duplicate absentee ballots for the August primary were mailed to residents in eight wards last month.
City Clerk Celestine Jeffreys has only issued a written statement saying there was a “printing error”.
