APPLETON, Wis. — An Illinois man who provided the drugs leading to a 2-year-old girl’s overdose death in Freedom reaches a plea deal with prosecutors.
Faheem Jones is convicted in Outagamie County Court on charges of possession of fentanyl with intent to deliver, possession of a firearm by a felon and first-degree reckless endangerment.
Jones brought fentanyl-laced drugs to a Freedom apartment in January of 2024, where they were ingested by Rosalie Garcia, causing a fatal overdose.
Jones faces up to 62 years in prison when sentenced on Aug. 21. Garcia’s mother, Brooke Seal, is already serving a nine-year prison term.
