APPLETON, Wis–The city of Appleton will provide up to $25-million in financial support for the redevelopment of the Thrivent property. Developers are looking to build as many as 2,100 new housing units on the site just north of Interstate 41.
Community Development Director Kara Homan says the city will take on the initial cost of installing the utilities for the site………….
Homan adds that there are safeguards in place to protect taxpayer investment……
The project, known as Wilden Portfolio Park, has an estimated value of $607-million. It would create an additional $57-million in property tax revenues.
