TOWNSHIP OF EDEN, Wis. — A child is dead — three other people are hurt — following a crash in Fond du Lac County.
The sheriff’s office says a minivan crossed the centerline along Highway V in the township of Eden, struck an embankment, went airborne and rolled several times around 3:10 p.m. Wednesday.
An 11-year-old North Fond du Lac girl riding in the vehicle was airlifted to Children’s Hospital in Milwaukee, where she was pronounced dead. Two other passengers, an 8-year-old Fond du Lac boy and a 15-year-old Campbellsport girl, along with the driver, a 29-year-old Fond du Lac man, were taken to a Fond du Lac hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
