GREEN BAY, Wis. — One person is dead following a police shooting in Green Bay.
Officers were called to a home in the 1700 block of Boland Road around 3:10 p.m. Friday for a welfare check.
During the response, an individual reportedly brandished a firearm. Three officers then fired at and struck the suspect.
The individual was taken to a local hospital, where they were pronounced dead. The officers were not hurt and were placed on administrative leave, per department policy.
The state Department of Justice’s Division of Criminal Investigation is handling an investigation.
