WINNECONNE, Wis–The Administrator of the Winneconne Community School District is placed on administrative leave. In a statement, School Board President Kati Calewarts says the board placed Peggy Larson on paid administrative leave following a vote Monday night pending “further consideration of an internal investigation authorized by the board.”
Details on the nature of the investigation were not released. Information about an acting superintendent will be provided at a later date.
Calewarts and Board Vice President Dean Ackman are the targets of recall efforts by Winneconne residents–with spending on legal services being one of the issues of concern.
