GREEN BAY, Wis. — Four Green Bay police officers are hurt in an officer-involved shooting incident.
Police were called to Doty and Washington streets shortly after 2:15 a.m. Saturday on the report of a disturbance at a food truck.
As officers were investigating, a vehicle reportedly drove toward them and bystanders, prompting one officer to fire shots.
After a brief pursuit, the vehicle was stopped by other officers in the area of N. Monroe Avenue and Pine Street. The driver was taken into custody on suspicion of operating while intoxicated.
Four officers were treated for non-life-threatening injuries. No one else was hurt.
The officer who fired shots has been placed on administrative leave, per department policy.
Green Bay police and the Brown County Sheriff’s Office are investigating the incident.
