The chair of the Assembly Elections Committee issues a subpoena ordering Brown County to turn over its ballots and voting machines from the 2020 presidential election. Representative Janel Brandtjen of Menominee Falls wants to conduct a “cyber-forensic audit”. Brandtjen has also subpoenaed Milwaukee County’s ballots and voting machines. Democrat Mark Spreitzer of Beloit–who is also on the Elections Committee–wants the counties to just ignore the subpoenas. The “cyber-forensic audit” requested by Brandtjen would be similar to a process employed by a third-party group in Arizona.
