A suspect manages to injure himself during an attempted armed robbery in Appleton. Police say Kyle Peebles tried to hold up Memorial Liquors on South Memorial Drive around 12:10 this (Wednesday) morning. Peebles allegedly struck an employee with his handgun several times and fired one shot. The recoil of the weapon reportedly struck Peebles in the forehead. He was arrested a short distance away. Criminal charges are pending.
