The state Department of Corrections will no longer use a halfway house in Oshkosh. The transitional living facility on Jefferson Street had led to years of complaints from neighbors about the non-profit group hired to manage the program. Triniteam was accused of failing to properly supervise the men living in the home–all of whom had just been released from prison. Oshkosh officials got involved as well, pressuring the state to increase supervision or to close the facility. The D-O-C will terminate their contract with Triniteam on September 1st. The house will likely return to a private rental.
