A former Bellevue village clerk will spend nine months in jail for stealing from the public coffers. Dawn Kreuser is also sentenced in Brown County Court to three years on probation for Theft in a Business Setting and Misconduct in Office. Kreuser was fired as clerk in August of 2019. Her successor found more than 44-hundred dollars in missing funds. Kreuser took receipt of payments from residents–but pocketed the money.
