The town of Buchanan is fining the owners of a pig sanctuary fifty-dollars a day for zoning violations. Saving Snouts has about 20-pigs on property–all of which are disabled or were unwanted by their former owners. The town informed the owners in 2018 that the sanctuary violates town codes–but they were given time until the end of July this year to relocate their animals. The owners started receiving notices of daily fines on September 1st.
