Republican Rebecca Kleefisch, who spent eight years as lieutenant governor under Scott Walker, is now running for governor.
Kleefisch released a video this morning to announce her candidacy. In it she criticized Governor Evers as being weak. Kleefisch says she will back police and fight special interest.
The 46-year-old becomes the best-known Republican to officially get into the race against Governor Evers. The election is November 8th, 2022.
