In September, Purple Heart recipient Mike Gawel from Oshkosh, was honored as Wisconsin’s representative for the 2021 Purple Heart Patriot Project mission. The ‘Honor Flight’ style, salute to service brings together Purple Heart heroes from every state, and almost every conflict of the last century to honor their courage and sacrifice. We spoke with Mike during our Focus on Veterans series.
