(FOND DU LAC, WI) — A Fond du Lac man is now charged with homicide in the 1995 disappearance of a Ripon man.
Jerome Baier is arrested Friday by the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office and charged with First Degree Intentional Homicide in the disappearance of 40-year old James Ruland, who was Baier’s roommate at the time.
Ruland was last seen in the North Fond du Lac area on October 25, 1995. His car was later found at a truck stop, but his body has never been located.
Investigators say forensic testing generated a probable cause for Jerome Baier’s arrest.
An initial court appearance is scheduled on September 21st.
