It’s the age old question of, “What do you want to be when you grow up?” It’s a big decision and for high school students, figuring out a possible career can be confusing! There’s a new tool though for students in the Appleton Area School District, and it’s hoping to help in the exploration of careers. Launched in September, the “Lamers Family Foundation Launch Studio” at Appleton West High School will help guide, introduce and assist students in learning about careers!
You’ll find freshman and sophomore young women attending the “Smart Girls Rock!” event at a warehouse of The Boldt Company Wednesday, November 3. It’s a unique opportunity to immerse the next generation into the STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering and Manufacturing). We talk with representatives from the Fox Cities Chamber of Commerce and Boldt about the event.
